Crying it out: the health benefits of letting out the tears – Body & Soul – June 2015


Despite the popular opinion that there’s no use crying over spilt milk, there are some who firmly believe a bit of a cry will actually do you good. In fact, the team behind the Mitsui Garden Hotel Yotsuya in Tokyo are so sure that crying is good for us, they’re offering a suite of rooms that are entirely dedicated to crying.

The crying rooms reportedly cost 10,000 Japanese yen per day (about $105) and come well stocked with a range of essentials: ultra soft tissues, warm eye masks, make-up remover and a range of tear-jerker movies.
