For the last seven days I have been carrying a small cardboard moneybox around with me. It is 13cm x 13cm and there is a slot in the top for donations. I’ve taken the box to the gym and out to dinner. I’ve carried it under my arm on the school run and it’s sat on the table during coffee catch-ups with friends. I’ve even taken it out for a run.
Carrying the box has been very eye opening – but not in the way I expected. The moneybox challenge is a new initiative from Save The Box, part of the Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG), who hope the campaign will raise awareness about gynaecological cancer as well as much needed funds.
