Social dyslexia: how to know when shyness is something more – Essential Kids – September 2016


These days we are all familiar with the term dyslexia and what it means for children that have it. But that hasn’t always been the case. When I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 1990 hardly any of my teachers had heard of it, let alone my peers. So it’s no wonder that my school life was a bit tricky.

Now a new type of dyslexia is emerging and while it is a still bit of an enigma to many experts, a greater understanding of it could make a huge difference to thousands of kids around the world.
