‘What Happened When I Wore A ‘Uniform’ Every Day Of The Week’ – Whimn – June 2018

My eight-year-old is staring at me impatiently as I stand mute, unable to reply to her question. It’s 8.45am and I’ve already made so many decisions that my head is spinning. My daughter needs an answer, but I just don’t have it in me. “I don’t know!” I snap.

This is a classic case of decision fatigue – “sorry kids; my brain can’t weigh up any more decisions and has gone for a lie down”. While it may sound daft, the effect of decision fatigue shouldn’t be underestimated.
