When it comes to housework, I’ve decided to drop the ball – Daily Life – April 2017


It’s probably not a huge surprise to hear that women do significantly more housework than men. But, thanks to the first release of 2016 census data, we now have the stats to prove it.

But the census data didn’t capture how much men and women actually care about the housework. Because if my home is anything to go by, the “care factor gap” is just as significant as the “who does what” gap. In other words – are men doing less housework because it’s simply not that important to them for things to be clean and tidy?
