Photo by Darius Bashar on UnsplashI signed up to the Sydney Skinny, a nude ocean swim, in a moment of extreme bravado. Of course I can get naked with a bunch of strangers. No big deal. To be frank, I was more concerned about the prospect of being eaten by a shark.

I hoped that some of my friends would join me for the swim. There were lots of good reasons to go for it. Spending time naked with other people has been linked to increased self-esteem, plus, the water is glorious at this time of year.
