You’ve had your baby, spent some time recovering from the birth and now you are ready to be discharged from hospital. Before you leave you are given a pack of useful information, your baby’s ‘blue book’ and perhaps some friendly advice from a midwife.

One thing you’re not given is a supply of emergency contraception, but experts in the UK think you should be.
