It’s probably the last thing a new mother wants to hear, but a recent survey from the UK has found that 60 per cent of parents think teenagers are harder to look after than newborns. The survey, conducted by the National Citizen Service, was investigating the challenges that come with teens.

It doesn’t surprise me that so many parents responded to the survey this way. With two young kids, I’ve been on the receiving end of the line “If you think it’s hard now, just wait till you have teenagers!” more times than I care to count.
